His extensive knowledge in CPT coding, ICD-10 coding, billing, documentation compliance, revenue enhancement, practice management, and denial management for outpatient therapy services has empowered healthcare organizations across the nation. A renowned speaker, Gawenda has delivered over 1000 presentations, enriching professionals nationwide with his insights.
As a dedicated member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the Michigan Physical Therapy Association (MPTA), Gawenda has made significant contributions to healthcare policies and practices. He has held leadership positions including Past President of the Section on Health Policy & Administration of the APTA and the Michigan Association of Medical Rehabilitation Program Administrators.
